Two-families
Up-and-down two-families mean two households to work around. Ed plans access and timing with both before the crew arrives.
Waltham is about fourteen miles east of Stow, and Ed brings the same careful prep to its older homes and two-families.
Waltham is the Watch City, and before the watch factory it was home to the Boston Manufacturing Company's 1813 mill on the Charles River. That industrial past left workers' housing near the river, older two-families in neighborhoods like the South Side and the Highlands, and the city's largest group of preserved 19th and early 20th century houses at Piety Corner. Moody Street is the busy downtown, and I-95 and Route 20 cross the city.
Ed comes to the house himself, looks closely at the old wood and the paint on it, and talks through access if the house sits close to its neighbors. Exterior house painting on a two-family, interior painting over old plaster, kitchen cabinet painting, power washing and deck staining all start the same way. He writes an estimate that leaves nothing out, from prep to the final coat, and checks on the job daily until it's finished.

Tight lots in the older neighborhoods leave little room for ladders and drop cloths, so careful set-up matters.

Houses from Waltham's industrial years predate 1978 by decades, so lead-safe prep is expected.

Yes. Waltham is about fourteen miles from Stow, toward the eastern side of Beacon's area.
Two sets of porches, stairs and entry doors, tight access on close-set lots and lead-safe prep on older wood. Ed sees the whole building and writes it all out before any work is booked.
Waltham has National Register districts but no local historic district reviewing paint color, so a repaint usually doesn't need approval. Ask the city if you're unsure.
Yes, though doing the whole building together usually looks more even. Ed will talk through both options.
Yes. Plaster walls, old trim and many layers of paint need careful repair and the right primer, and Ed covers that in the estimate.
